MP Nadim Gemayel stated, "Regardless of the narrative or the truth of what happened, there was negligence in the Pascal Sleiman case."
After offering his condolences to Pascal Sleiman's family, he observed that "the country's instability is a result of security breaches," urging the implementation of Resolution 1559.
Gemayel said, "Nothing protects us except removing all illegal weapons in the country," he added that "we do not want to stir up trouble or provoke issues with the Syrians, nor do we seek Christian-Shiite tensions, and we are committed to the country's security."
