Minister of State for Combating Corruption Nicolas Tueni on Monday urged the Lebanese state to finalize the electricity dossier, especially in its capacity as a priority for citizens.
In an interview, the minister lamented the state administration's failure to deal with this issue until now.
"The study of the electricity dossier requires a vision on the medium and long run, especially in the shadow of the large consumption of electricity by Syrian refugees in the region," he said.
With regard to the 2018 Public Budget, the Minister mentioned a serious intention by the authorities in order to put it to the test.
"This budget is the basis of governance and transparent financial management in order to control income and expenditures," the Minister explained.
