President Michel Aoun, will leave on an official visit to Iraq on Tuesday at the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart, Fouad Maasoum. He will then depart Baghdad on Wednesday to Yerevan, to start a two-day official visit during which he is scheduled to meet with his Armenian counterpart, Serzh Sargsyan.
It is to note that President Aoun will be accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation.
In Iraq, President Aoun will be holding talks with the Iraqi President, Prime Minister, Parliament Speaker, as well as the Syrian Catholic Diocese. He will also be visiting the Unknown Soldier Memorial.
In Armenia, the President will meet with the Armenian President, Prime Minister, and Parliament Speaker. He will also be meeting with members of the Lebanese community in Armenia and visiting the Armenian diocese of Etchmiadzin, as well as the memorial of the victims of the Armenian genocide.
