Saudi Chargé d'Affaires, Plenipotentiary Minister, Walid Bukhari, on Thursday said that Saudi-Lebanese economic ties would witness significant positive developments in the looming future, which would pave the way for the return of relations between the two countries to their golden age."
Bukhari anticipated that the High Joint Committee between the two countries would meet upcoming June with 27 draft agreements on its agenda, laying the formal frameworks for bilateral relations in the fields of economy, transport, customs, culture and defense.
The Saudi Chargé d'Affaires considered that these agreements would constitute a qualitative turning point in the formal structure of relations, adding, "this shall be accompanied by visits whether at the level of ministers or at the level of the private sector."
Bukhari's fresh remarks came during his meeting at the Embassy with an extended delegation from the Lebanese-Saudi Business Council, led by Raouf Abu Zaki.
The meeting took place in the presence of MP Neemeh Tohmeh, Saudi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr Fawzi Kabbara, and scores of concerned dignitaries.
