Tripoli's municipality head, Ahmad Kamareddine, welcomed on Monday Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Emmanuelle Lamoureux, who visited him in the company of two senior embassy officials.
The meeting featured high on the Lebanese-Canadian relations and their importance to the city of Tripoli.
The pair also discussed continued cooperation with the municipality of the northern capital, and other active associations, to provide help and services in the implementation of projects, especially in light of the increasing number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Talks also touched on the best means to improve the economic situation in the city and to encourage investment to create new job opportunities for younger people.
