Public Works and Transportation Minister, Youssef Fenianous, said on Monday, "The port of Tripoli is key to the development of the city, the north, and all of Lebanon."
Fenianous's words came at a ceremony at the port of Tripoli marking the end of the visit of the Egyptian ship of the Arab Academy of Sciences, Technology, and maritime transport "AIDA 4" to the region.
The minister then emphasized the "depth" of fraternal and commercial relations that connect Lebanon and Egypt.
For his part, Ambassador of Egypt to Lebanon, Nazih al-Najari, who participated in this event, said that Tripoli was one of the most important cities in the Mediterranean, shedding light on the "depth" of relations between the peoples of Lebanon and Egypt.
"Our relations are historic and we will exert more efforts for their reinforcement," the Egyptian diplomat said.
He finally wished Lebanon success accomplishing the electoral deadline on May 6, 2018.
