President Michel Aoun presided Thursday morning over the military parade marking Lebanon's 75th Independence Day held at the Shafic Wazzan Avenue in downtown Beirut, in the presence of House Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, as well as Army Commander General Joseph Aoun and scores of Lebanon's former Presidents, former House Speakers, former Prime Ministers and various Cabinet ministers, members of Parliament, senior political, military, religious, judicial, diplomatic, economic and media officials and prominent dignitaries.
The military parade was marked by over-flights of the "BELL", "PUMA", "CESSNA", "BULLDOG", "GAZELLE", "SUPER" and "TUCANO" aircrafts and then a film was screened for ten minutes produced by the Directorate of Orientation.
At the end of the celebration, the President headed back to Baabda Palace to accept congratulations on the occasion, along with the House Speaker and Prime Minister.
