Minister of Labor Kamil Abu Sleiman on Wednesday visited the General Labor Confederation and met with its vice head Hassan Fakih and its bureau members.
Talks reportedly touched on an array of affairs relevant to workers in addition to the situation of the Lebanese and foreign workforce.
During the meeting, Abou Sleiman said that he was endeavoring to apply the laws, stressing that these laws give privileges to the Palestinian refugees.
He added that the role of his ministry was to protect the Lebanese workers, highlighting the necessity of a social dialogue that involves the GLC, employers and the Labor Ministry.
