The General Secretariat of the Central Council of the Central Bank issued the following statement:
“On 3/3/2021, the Central Council of the Central Bank met under the chairmanship of the Governor and in the presence of all the members, along with the Chairman and members of the Banking Control Commission, and it was agreed to lay down a road map with deadlines for implementation through which the Central Bank would resort to taking appropriate measures related to the implementation of the provisions of Circular No. 154, based on reports prepared by the Banking Control Commission.
In addition, the Central Council will convene periodically to follow up on the issue and address the situation of each bank separately, in coordination with the Financial Markets Authority, the Special Investigation Commission and the Supreme Banking Authority. "
