The employees of Electricite Du Liban announced in a statement on Wednesday that they’d be going on a three-day strike as of tomorrow, Thursday.
“Due to the lack of the Prime Minister’s interest, as well as that of the Minister of Energy and Water, in all the statements and sit-ins carried out by the EDL employees, the Syndicate finds itself obliged to announce a strike by not coming to work centers, not receiving and delivering fuel -- including unloading of ships -- for three days, as of Thursday 9/12/2021 until 11/12/2021. The Syndicate’s meetings remain open to follow up on developments and to take appropriate measures,” a statement by EDL employees said.
