Chief Accountant

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Compile and issue financial reports and budgets, reviewing and coordinating contributions of others and encouraging implementation of recommendations.
• Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
• Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Detect potential errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and rationalize expenditure.
• Monitor, train and supervise junior and senior accountant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Experience with maintaining a general ledger and month-end/year-end closing process.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
• Calculate monthly and quarterly tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings.

Job Requirements

• BA/Accounting Degree - Master’s Degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, senior accountant or any other related positions.
• Good knowledge of local laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Autonomous, responsible and manages to keep company’s data confidential.
