Ministry of Finance: 16th meeting with IMF highlighted need for swift reforms

The Press Office of the Ministry of Finance indicated in a statement on Wednesday that "The Lebanese negotiating delegation, chaired by Finance Minister Ghazi Wazni, has held its 16th meeting with the International Monetary Fund, in the presence of Central Bank Governer, Riad Salameh, and a team from Lebanon's Central Bank."

The 16th meeting with the IMF mainly discussed the best means to handle the losses of the financial system and the pressing need for the government to implement the required reforms as soon as possible.

It is to note that consultations will continue next week.
