Head of the Finance and Budget Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, received at his office in the Parliament the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher, on Friday with whom he discussed the overall situation, namely the financial and economic conditions, and "the draft 2020 budget and its amendments and reforms to put Lebanon on a clear path to address the public financial situation through a reliable budget, practical solutions and proposed reforms."
Kanaan said "It was agreed that a homogeneous government be formed to work as a unified team internally and externally to implement the required reforms that Lebanon has committed itself to so as to open the door to the implementation of the Cedre decisions and secure the expected financial support."
Ambassador Foucher confirmed that "the French initiative towards Lebanon will continue under the roof of the promised reforms."
