Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh issued the following statement:
"I met with State Prosecutor Judge Ghassan Oueidat, and provided him with all the answers to the questions that he asked, both in person and on behalf of the Swiss Public Prosecutor, and I confirmed to him that no transfers were made from the accounts of the Central Bank or from its budgets.
I assured Judge Oueidat that I am always prepared to answer any questions. I also reserved the right to legal prosecution against all those who insist on spreading malicious rumors and insults that affect me personally and harm Lebanon's financial reputation."
