Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, today inspected the Covid-19 vaccination center at Rafic Hariri University Hospital. He was received by Minister of Health Hamad Hassan, Head of the National Committee for Vaccination, Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri, and General Manager of RHUH, Dr. Firas Al-Abiad. PM Diab was accompanied by his Advisor, Khodor Taleb.

Premier Diab toured coronavirus-related departments and was briefed about the vaccination process launching after the arrival of the first batch of vaccines yesterday.

Then PM Diab addressed, doctors, nurses and healthcare workers by saying: “Today, I came to inspect the center and to check on you all. You are the unknown soldiers who have borne a great burden for a year, and who have been up to the responsibility. You have made a lot of sacrifices and some of you have even paid their lives for carrying their mission in protecting people from this deadly epidemic.

In compliance with the National Vaccine Committee's program and schedule, I will not take the vaccine today.  For the priority shall be given to you, to the health personnel who  must be protected from this danger in order for you to be able to fulfill your mission in protecting people.

You come before me; you have the priority over us, just as every person who meets the priority criteria according to the committee’s program.

God bless you! God bless our elders and all the Lebanese!

Keep up the good work!”. PM Diab attended the launching of the first vaccination round that targeted the head of ICU at RHUH, Dr. Mahmoud Hassoun, and distinguished actor Salah Tizani, aka 'Abu Salim.'"
