Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Rahi, met on Friday in Bkerki with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, who highlighted the necessity to implement the Taif Agreement in preservation of national unity and civil peace in the country.

"Saudi Arabia is looking forward the Lebanon's recuperating its pioneering role," Bukhari said following the meeting.

"KSA will always be the closest friend to the Lebanese people and to the Lebanese constitutional institutions," he added.
