Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, received on Friday Energy Minister, Raymond Ghajar, with a delegation from the EMAAR Group, which included Vice President of the Group John Smith, Vice President for Business Development, Nick Lampson, Representative of PTT in Lebanon, Dr. Bilal Kabrit, Coordinator Ferial Al-Hadid, Nancy Ghazarian, Oussama Al-Qatrabi and Raad Al-Obaidi, in the presence of PM Advisor for Energy Affairs, Dr. Elias Assaf.
The meeting deliberated on the project aimed at building a center for « alternative" green energy generation in Lebanon, which works on solar energy according to the B.O.T system, and with a capacity of 400 megawatts.
Premier Diab also received the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub, in the presence of PM Advisor, Hussein Kaafarani.
The meeting broached several University-related files, especially the University’s budget and the ongoing work to secure vaccines for Lebanese University students.
