Jordan's Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, met on Wednesday with Syrian Electricity Minister, Ghassan al-Zamil, and Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Walid Fayad.
According to Petra's news agency, "Khasawneh stressed the keenness to strengthen joint cooperation in order to serve the interests of the three countries.
He said that Jordan, under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is keen to provide the support that Lebanon needs to overcome the challenges and exceptional circumstances it is going through.
Talks during the meeting also tackled the delivery of Egyptian gas to Lebanon through Jordan and Syria.
Khasawneh was briefed by the ministers on the status of the infrastructure necessary to transport gas and electricity through Syria, in addition to some technical and contractual matters that will be agreed upon."
