Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Wednesday welcomed Ambassador of Greece to Lebanon, Catherine Fountoulaki, who affirmed her country's support for the Mikati-led cabinet.
In the wake of the meeting, Fountoulaki stressed the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries and the best means to activate bilateral agreements, especially in the field of tourism.
She also highlighted the assistance that Greece could provide to Lebanon to benefit from its expertise in negotiating with the International Monetary Fund.
The meeting with the Greek diplomat had also been an occasion to prepare for the upcoming tripartite summit between the presidents of Lebanon, Cyprus, and Greece, which will be held in Nicosia.
Separately, Minister Bou Habib discussed Lebanese-Indian bilateral ties with Indian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan. The pair also discussed India's great participation in the 22-year-old UNIFIL mandate, and its continuous support to the Lebanese government by incessantly seeking the best means to improve trade exchange, especially in the fields of medicine and food.
