Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday held a meeting at the Grand Serail with a World Bank delegation, including WB Regional Director of the Mashreq Department, Saroj Kumar Jha, the Bank's representative in Lebanon, Mona Kouzi, and other senior officials.
The meeting reportedly discussed the means of setting up a social safety net program and motivating reforms in the fields of energy and water.
Separately, Mikati welcomed a delegation representing the Contractors Syndicate, headed by Maroun El-Helou.
"We've presented all the issues related to the Syndicate, especially the stalled contracts that we have been suffering from for nearly two years," Helou said.
"The meeting was positive, and we hope to find a solution to the prevailing crisis as soon as possible," he added.
