Minister of Industry, Georges Boujikian, on Friday held a meeting with Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon, Haidar Barrak, during which the pair agreed to activate the work of the joint ministerial committee between Lebanon and Iraq.
For his part, Boujikian thanked the diplomat for Iraq's permanent support to Lebanon in various fields, especially in the area of importing goods and equipment for hospitals.
In turn, Barrak emphasized the "attachment of Iraqis to Lebanon, especially that approximately twenty thousand Iraqis currently continue their education in Lebanon, in addition to the thousands of Iraqis who visit Lebanon for medical purposes.”
