Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Monday received in his office the Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hermano Telles Ribeiro, whereby the pair emphasized the excellent bilateral bonds between the two countries, in light of the presence of a large Lebanese community in Brazil.
The Brazilian ambassador told the Foreign Minister that his country accords the situation in Lebanon a special priority, disclosing that his Country will provide around 4,000 tons of rice starting next December.
Minister Bou Habib also met with Tunisian Ambassador to Lebanon, Bouraoui Limam, with whom he discussed the means to activate the joint committees between the two countries.
Bou Habib also received Maronite General Council Dean, former Minister Wadih el-Khazen, over general affairs.
The Minister also welcomed Dean of the Honorary Consular Corps of Lebanon, Joseph Habis, and members of the Consular Corps, who came on a congratulatory visit.
The visit had been an occasion to brief Minister Bou Habib on the work and activities of the members of the honorary consular corps in Lebanon with the countries they represent, especially in light of the current circumstances that Lebanon is going through.
