Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Boutros Rahi, on Tuesday welcomed in Bkerke the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Lebanon, Jiri Dolezel, who came on a protocol visit.

On emerging, Ambassador Dolezel said that this was his first visit to the Patriarchate, during which he relayed his country’s readiness to assist Lebanon in these difficult circumstances the country is going through.  

Patriarch Rahi also met with Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon, Haidar Al-Barrak, on his first visit to Bkerke since assuming his diplomatic mission in the country.

The visit had been a chance to emphasize the importance of bolstering the bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels.

The Patriarch also received the Hungarian Ambassador to Lebanon, Geza Mihalyi, who came on a farewell visit.
