President Michel Aoun continued tackling the topics which were deliberated in yesterday’s tripartite meeting, with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Telecommunications Minister:
The President met Minister of Telecommunications Johnny Corm today at the Presidential Palace, and discussed with him ministerial affairs, and the situation of communications.
Minister Corm stated that he briefed the President on the need to implement Law 431, and activate the role of the authority regulating the telecommunications sector by electing a board of directors for the authority and “Liban Telecom”.
The Minister of Communications also indicated that President Aoun expressed all the readiness to help in this regard.
Egyptian Ambassador:
President Aoun received the Ambassador of Egypt in Lebanon, Yasser Alawi, and deliberated with him Lebanese-Egyptian relations and methods of developing these relations.
General affairs in light of recent developments were also tackled.
South Korean Ambassador:
President Aoun met South Korean Ambassador, Young Dae-Kwan, on a farewell visit to mark the end of his diplomatic missions in Lebanon.
The President granted the South Korean Ambassador, the National Cedar Medal (Senior Officer Rank), in recognition of his role in strengthening bilateral relations between Lebanon and South Korea.
In addition, President Aoun wished Ambassador Dae-Kwan success in his new tasks.
