Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday met at the Grand Serail with the Caretaker Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar. 

On emerging, Caretaker Minister Hajjar said that he discussed with the Premier issues related to the Social Affairs Ministry and social institutions. 

Premier Mikati also met with the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Qian Minjian, over the bilateral relations between the two countries. 

Mikati later received the Secretary General of the Jamaa al-Islamiya, Sheikh Mohammed Takkoush, with an accompanying delegation. 

Discussions reportedly touched on the current political and socio-economic dossiers. The delegation stressed the need for a swift election of a new president of the republic. 

Separately, Mikati met with a delegation from the Doctors Syndicate in Tripoli, headed by Dean Mohammad Safi, and they discussed Syndicate related affairs. 

The Prime Minister also met respectively with MP Haidar Nasser, and then former MP Bahia Hariri.
