The Syrian opposition coalition agrees to participate in the Geneva II peace talks

The exiled Syrian opposition voted on Saturday to take part in an international conference next week aimed at finding a political solution to the brutal three-year year conflict.


In a secret ballot, the National Coalition agreed by 58 votes to 14 with two abstentions and one blank vote to take part in the talks opening in Switzerland on Wednesday, according to an official tally.
