The Sochi Olympic Games, from February 7 to February 23 seem to draw much attention as game makers and authorities announced tight security measures to protect athletes and civilians, most notably American ones. However, the threat seems to emanate from something quite odd, for US authorities have informed airlines scheduled to head to Russia that explosives will be hidden inside toothpaste tubes.

Moreover, US authorities advised its athletes to avoid wearing the American flag outside of the Sochi Olympic premises and warned US nationals against imminent terrorist attacks. Such fears were reignited after Muslim extremists from Russian Caucasus broadcasted footage in which they threatened to launch attacks during the Sochi Olympics.
