Three thorny issues in Lebanon await failure if nothing new was brought up within the upcoming week.
First, this week is decisive for the dialogue between Lebanese Forces and Free Patriotic Movement, noting that the talks seem to be obstructed although officials are not admitting it publicly.
In case this week ends without any progress, then both parties have to justify the delay, knowing that the contacts are ongoing between MP Ibrahim Kanaan and LF official Melhem Riachi. But the delay in approving the agenda confirms the leaks reporting that the dialogue has been suspended.
Second, today the case of abducted servicemen enters its 8th month. The survival of this issue proves that the state has failed in dealing with it and leading it to a safe shore.
The case is likely to enter a delicate phase amid fears of the upcoming stage following the victory of Syrian regime and Hezbollah Party in the south.
Reports say that the negotiations with Islamic State are pending while talks with Nusra Front led by Sheikh Mustafa Houjeiri are not bringing anything new. And the families of the abductees are waiting for promises to be fulfilled...
Third, the case of Syndicate Coordination Committee (SCC) which entered the "clinical death" since it failed to take any action since two months due to disputes between the members. The proof is when the coalition called off its press conference last Thursday during which it was supposed to announce the action plan.
