Arsal Mayor Ali al-Hujeiri said Saturday that the Islamic State militants informed him that they are seeking $150,000 ransom and three trucks loaded with supplies in return of releasing the kidnapped Seyfeddine.
"They do not want to hold negotiations," Hujeiri added.
In a short interview with As-Safir daily, the mayor stressed that Arsal residents insist on not paying any amount in return of the freedom of Seyfeddine.
"We will not to yield to threats anymore," Hujeiri concluded.
