Change and Reform bloc says its ministers 'obstructing the obstruction'

Former minister Salim Jreissati said Tuesday that the protests of Free Patriotic Movement have been fruitful on many levels, stressing that they were characterized by the freedom of speech.

Following the Change and Reform bloc weekly meeting, Jreissati highlighted the speech delivered by Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday, when the latter said MP Michel Aoun is the "key" for resolving the presidential deadlock.

"The word 'key' is clearly defined in our dictionary and the path to the presidency is blocked, however it is safeguarded by the national pact, constitution and the law," the ex-minister said.

On the government case, the bloc voiced its support to any solution which meets the constitution, stressing that FPM does not obstruct the cabinet; it is "obstructing the obstruction" and "the coup against the constitution".

"No resolution shall be approved before they restore the partnership," Jreissati noted.

On another note, Change and Reform bloc praised the General Security agency as well as its Chief Gen. Abbas Ibrahim for arresting fugitive Ahmad al-Assir, hoping that his trial would meet the hope pinned on it.

Jreissati also called on resolving the crisis of garbage in Lebanon's streets, calling for ending the blame on the cabinet.
