"Lebanese army is always on alert to combat any riot activity or foil an infiltration attempt by the terrorists near the eastern borders," stated Lebanese Army Commander Gen. Jean Qahwaji today when he toured on military posts in Arsal and Brital towns.

Qahwaji was briefed on the military units' procedures to control the borders, fight the terrorist groups and chase wanted individuals to justice, praising the officers' efforts and sacrifices.

"Lebanese army's daily defense achievements on borders complete other security achievements realized in cooperation with other security agencies, namely the arrest one of the most wanted individuals involved in killing soldiers and attacking military posts," Qahwaji stressed.

The Commander also noted that the political disputes will never affect the performance of Lebanese army and its firm decision of protecting the civil peace and the country's stability.
