Marada Movement leader, MP Sleiman Frangieh, welcomed, at his Bnachii residence on Tuesday, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nazih al-Najari, with whom he discussed an array of current affairs, in addition to the export crisis of Lebanese apple crops.
"I conveyed to MP Frangieh Egypt's concern about the resumption of work inside the state institutions, after two and a half years of presidential vacuum, out of keenness on Lebanon's stability and contribution to the stability of the region," al-Najari told reporters following the meeting.
"I also listened to his viewpoint on the situation in Lebanon, as well as his expectations for the coming weeks regarding presidency," he said.
"We hope to cooperate in that respect in order to end the presidential vacuum in the nearest possible time, when we are able to reach common ground," he concluded.
Frangieh later met with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, with talks featuring high on latest local and regional developments.
