Three civilians, including a young girl, were killed as Indian troops continued to shell villages along the Line of Control in Pakistan-administered Kashmir on Friday, a Pakistani official said.
Nakyal and Tatta Pani sectors were hit by the shelling, the official said.
"As yet three persons have lost their lives while five others have received injuries in different villages," Zeeshan Nisar, assistant commissioner told Reuters by telephone.
Indian officials in New Delhi could not be reached for comment on Friday evening.
Shelling by both sides in the divided and disputed Himalayan regions has been going on since new tensions flared between the nuclear-armed foes after gunmen killed 19 Indian soldiers in September at an army camp in Kashmir, an attack India blamed on Pakistan-based militants.
Since Oct. 19, eight people have been killed in Indian shelling in Pakistani Kashmir, he said.
