President Michel Aoun on Monday followed up on electoral law discussions, especially in light of the positive stances of political parties that unanimously stressed the importance of endorsing a new electoral formula before the end of the Parliament's mandate on June 7, 2017.
Aoun pinned high hope on the new electoral formula, which should ensure just and proper parliamentary representation.
On another level, the President welcomed at Baabda Palace a delegation from the Industry Ministry headed by the Minister of Industry, Hussein Hajj Hassan.
The President lauded the efforts of Minister Hajj Hassan and his work team for exerting relentless efforts to bolster the nation's industrial sector.
Separately, Aoun had an audience with Information Minister, Melhem Riachy. Riachy said that he had discussed with the president the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for Tele Liban.
The President also discussed Lebanon's monetary affairs with Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, who thanked the President for the Cabinet's vote of confidence renewing his term.
