Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, maintained that whoever is confiscating weapons in Lebanon must not give patriotism certifications to others, in an indirect retaliation to Hezbollah's deputy chief, Sheikh Naeem Qassem.
On Sunday, Qassem rejected any justification of collaboration with Israel, in the wake of the death penalty verdict issued against Habib Shartouni and Nabil Alam for the 1982 killing of then-president-elect Bashir Gemayel.
"Some forces in Lebanon are confiscating weapons and seeking to confiscate patriotism. Every Lebanese has the right to distribute patriotism certifications, except those who do not belong to Lebanon, but to the Islamic Republic of Iran," Geagea said during a festival for the Lebanese Diaspora in Melbourne, Australia.
