House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday confirmed that the parliamentary elections will take place on time, stressing "polls will be staged without any doubt."
Speaker Berri's words came during Wednesday gathering with MPs, with whom he discussed details related to the electoral law, especially regarding Articles 284 and 295.
Berri noted that in case the biometric card was not available, there is a clear text in the electoral law stipulating the application of the ID or the travel passport instead.
The Speaker said that he forwarded the biometric card project law to concerned parliamentary committees.
Berri stressed once again that all contracts must be subject to the Tender Management in accordance with the set rules.
