Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi called on officials to make essential reforms for the sake of the country and its people.
Rahi, whose words came during Sunday's mass service in the St. Stephen's cathedral, in Batroun, urged the Lebanese officials to "put a halt to corruption and return the stolen money to the public treasury, so that the government can do what it promised."
He also called upon the political authority to stop the impoverishment and deprivation of the people.
