Economy Minister Mansour Bteish welcomed Tuesday the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Lebanon, Philippe Lazzarini, who explained his role as a UN Coordinator in an agency that works to support Lebanon and its security and stability, activate development and try to address the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon while stimulating socio-economic development.
Lazzarini touched on the CEDRE conference and the future aspirations as to implementing its decisions through reforms, stressing "the importance of the sustainable development goals for 2030, which fall under one headline; the stability and growth of Lebanon."
In turn, Bteish explained his future economic aspirations regarding the treatment of the deficit in the general budget, and finding solutions to the fundamental reasons that cause electricity shortages, tax evasion and trade deficit, all the whole promoting tourism and fighting against corruption.
