Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly performed the Friday prayer on Friday at the Imam Ali Mosque in Tarik Jdide, alongside the Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdullatif Derian, the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih Naggari and a large number of worshipers.
The Friday sermon was delivered by Sheikh Zakaria Ghandour who talked about the meaning of the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting and worship and called on Muslims to adhere to the teachings of Islam, the religion of moderation and tolerance.
He welcomed the two Prime Ministers and Sheikh Abdullatif Derian and praised the role of openness to the other played by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayyib.
Hariri and Madbouly received a very warm welcome from the residents of Tarik Jdide.
