Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi welcomed on Friday the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jan Kubis, in a meeting which stressed the importance of stabilizing security in Lebanon in the hope that it would reflect positively on the economic situation in the country.
Syrian refugee affairs in Lebanon also featured talks between both men who stressed the need to ensure a speedy and appropriate refugee return for the benefit of both Lebanese and Syrians.
Rahi later presided over the meeting of the Council of Economic Affairs at the Maronite Patriarchate, where they discussed issues related to economic and social affairs.
