Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Boutros Rahi, on Tuesday condemned the fresh Israeli attack on the southern suburb of Beirut, as well as the recurrent enemy violations of UN resolution 1701.
Within this frame, Rahi highlighted the necessity of national unity, and called for the endorsement of a defense strategy for the country.
He also urged the international community to force Israel to abide by the international resolutions, and to enhance political, economic and military support for Lebanon.
