Protests against the new Lebanese Cabinet's decision to slap a new series of taxes on Lebanese citizens have sparked massive protests up and down the country.

Dbayeh Highway, Akkar's Jouma Highway, Dahr Al Baidar road, Baalbek Hermel International Highway, Dbayeh Jounieh Highway, Tripoli's Abi Samra, Sidon's Qenyaya, and Ras El Ain's Rasmeska roundabout had also been blocked to traffic by protestors.
Beqaa roads stretching from Riaq to Masnaa are blocked by protestors, bringing traffic movement to a standstill.
Protestors have burned tires on Shekka Highway to protest simmering economic conditions.
Dahr Al-Ahmar- Rashaya Highway had been blocked by protestors in both directions.
Roads blocked to traffic had also been Abi Samra's Bal Al Hadeed, Kuwaikhat-Qubayat road, Bsharre-Cedars road, Beirut's Karakoul Druz-Mar Elias road, southern Tripoli's entrance, and Amioun-Koura main road.
Later during the day, protestors blocked northern Beqa international highway and Halba-Qubayat Highway, as well as roads in the city of Sidon, Nabatieh, Merjeyoun, Jounieh, and Ajaltoun.
