Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Wang Kejian, on Friday visited Tripoli and North Lebanon's Chamber of Commerce and met with its president, Tawfik Daboussi.
In the wake of the meeting, Daboussi stressed the paramount importance of sticking to the permanent and close partnership between Lebanon and the People's Republic of China.
"We hope that this friendly country will emerge from the transient health crisis it is currently enduring," he added.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador said that his visit to Tripoli's chamber aimed at developing relations between China and Lebanon, as well as on facing the repercussions of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Chinese diplomat also invited the Lebanese side to participate in the third international exhibition for imports and exports, which will be held between 5 and 10 November, 2020 in Shanghai.
"The Chinese authorities have achieved positive results in the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic," he added.
