Activists of the Hasbaya-Marjeyoun Civil Movement organized a march on Saturday, which set out from the new Boulevard of Marjeyoun, all the way to the town of Qlayaa in south Lebanon, to protest against the high prices of consumer goods and the difficult living conditions, amidst the deployment of the Lebanese army and security forces in the area.
Participants chanted slogans condemning the policy that has "impoverished the people", calling on citizens of the region to participate in the march to voice their suffering and their rejection of "the hunger that is knocking on the doors of all Lebanese without exception."
