Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Nassif Hitti, met on Tuesday with the Vatican Foreign Minister, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, whereby the Archbishop stressed the need to stand by Lebanon and help it overcome its economic, social and financial crisis.
Archbishop Gallagher stressed that Lebanon should deliberate with the United States, the International Monetary Fund and the international community to find the necessary resolutions for the economic and financial crisis.
Minister Hitti explained the challenges Lebanon is currently facing amid the existing crisis, with Cardinal Gallagher pledging to help Lebanon and find appropriate solutions with the international partners.
Talks also reportedly touched on the current regional situation, especially in Iraq and Syria.
