A number of protesters on Wednesday rallied at the entrance of the southern city of Tyre, in solidarity with the civil movement rallies inTripoli, Beirut, Sidon, Bekaa and the mountains, and in rejection of the "state's starvation policy and impoverishment of citizens", amid security measures by the army and security forces.
Demonstrators called for securing citizens’ basic needs during lockdown, and raised banners denouncing "the state policy that led to the impoverishment of people."
Activists also deplored the "State’s starvation policy," and demanded the recovery of public looted money and holding the corrupt accountable.
