Activists representing the Lebanese Depositors Association on Friday gathered in front of the Lebanese Central Bank’s headquarters in Hamra, Beirut and carried out a sit-in, in which they chanted slogans warning from attempts to “touch” depositors’ funds in Lebanese banks and to return them instead to their owners.
“Listen to the voices of depositors: it is forbidden to touch our funds,” they chanted in a song addressed to Riad Salameh.
