Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a call from Jordan's King Abdullah II, congratulating him on the formation of the new government.
During the call, King Abdullah affirmed that he would "intensify his efforts with world leaders to support Lebanon, which is facing a critical humanitarian and economic situation, and that requires a well-planned and meticulously implemented international response."
He stressed support for Lebanon in these difficult circumstances, wishing Mikati success in his mission.
In turn, Mikati thanked "the King of Jordan for his constant affection towards Lebanon and his commendable initiatives for the sake of the Lebanese people," and said: "The Lebanese can never forget Jordan's permanent support for Lebanon."
He wished stability to the brotherly Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty.
