Head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea, and his wife, MP Strida Geagea, visited Maronite Patriarch Rahi at the patriarchal edifice in Al-Diman.
The meeting lasted for about an hour, during which conferees discussed the general situation, the case of Archbishop Moussa Hajj, as well as the need to hold presidential elections on time.
After the meeting, Geagea confirmed his support for the case of Archbishop Moussa Hajj, saying: "According to the law, custom and tradition in Lebanon, the arrest of any cleric, whether he is a sheikh, a monk, a priest or a metropolitan, requires... deliberation with his religious authority."
Geagea reiterated the demand for the dismissal of the government commissioner to the military court, Judge Fadi Akiki, because he committed numerous violations.
On the other hand, the two sides affirmed that the only rescue for Lebanon is holding presidential elections as soon as possible and on constitutional dates.
