Caretaker Minister of Public Works Ali Hamieh on welcomed Tuesday Director of the International Organization for Migration in Lebanon Mathieu Luciano. 

The pair discussed the means through which the ministry could provide assistance to the organization in a bid to carry out its duties within the legal and sovereign frameworks of the Lebanese state.

Minister Hamieh stressed to the delegation that the ministry "will spare no effort in contributing to any step that enhances the state's sovereignty over its public facilities."

Luciano, in turn, stressed "the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation,” adding that “this cooperation is one of our priorities as an organization."
